Government grants refers to funds and money that are lawfully granted to individuals who meet certain criteria by various government authorities, corporations, privileged individuals, departments, foundations etc. The citizens of the United States of America can apply for grants. The final set of grants are block grants, wherein a huge sum of money is given to state or lower government bodies with particularized provisions on how they should be used.
